First we want to say thank you for your interest in serving! If you have ever volunteered in church before, our culture may be a little different than what you may have experienced. We know that people have lives outside of church and we celebrate that by respecting your time. In fact, we only ask for a once per month commitment. This allows you to be with your friends and family and/or serve on other teams.

When you join a CGC Serve Team you are not just a volunteer. Being a volunteer can mean different things to different people because different organizations use them in order to run successfully. Typically, a volunteer is someone who offers to take part in an organization to undertake tasks.

We call our volunteers Team Reps – A representative is a person chosen or appointed to act or speak for another or others. You will find that when you join a CGC Serve Team you are not just doing tasks you are joining a team/ a family that is here to represent CGC but most importantly represent Jesus by serving others.
